Terms of service
Last updated 29 October 2026
These Terms govern the use of Celato (the "Service"): the browser extension, the website sottosolutions.com and its dashboard, and the related API. The Service is provided by Sotto Solutions ("we"), contact: hello@sottosolutions.com. By creating an account or installing the extension you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and of the organization you sign up for ("Customer").
1. What the Service does
Celato checks messages that users are about to send to supported AI chat tools for sensitive information — personal data, secrets and topics the Customer marks as protected — and warns, suggests a safer rewrite, or blocks, according to the Customer's policy. Checks run on the user's device and, when enabled, in our cloud service.
No detection is 100% accurate. Celato is a safety aid that lowers the risk of sensitive information reaching AI tools. It can miss information (for example new formats, unusual wording, images, scanned documents or files it cannot read) and it can flag harmless text. Attached files are checked only in the formats Celato reads (PDF, Word .docx, Excel .xlsx and text files); other files, such as images, archives and older Office formats, are not checked. We continually work to improve detection, but we do not promise that it catches everything, and features may change as it improves.
You remain responsible for what you send. The decision to send a message — including after a warning or by choosing "send anyway" — is always the user's. The Customer remains responsible for its users, its policies and settings, its own data-protection and confidentiality obligations, and the AI tools it allows. We are not responsible for any disclosure, leak or loss of information, whether or not Celato detected it, except to the extent caused by our own breach of the Data Processing Agreement's security obligations, and then subject to section 8.
2. Business use only
The Service is offered to businesses and professionals for use in their work, not to consumers. You confirm that you use it on behalf of a business or organization.
3. Accounts and organizations
- An organization's admins invite users and manage policies, members and billing. The Customer is responsible for its users' compliance with these Terms.
- Keep sign-in codes and devices secure, and tell us at hello@sottosolutions.com about any unauthorized use.
- You must be at least 18.
4. Free trial, plans and payment
- Each new organization gets a free trial of cloud checks as described on the pricing page, with no time limit. After the allowance, on-device checks continue; cloud checks require a paid plan.
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions as listed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, invoicing, taxes and refunds are subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
- Subscriptions renew each month until canceled. Canceling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the paid month.
- Refunds: see the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from the next billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to break the law; try to bypass, reverse engineer or overload it (beyond what applicable law permits); access other customers' data; resell it without our written permission; or use it to build a competing product.
6. Customer data
- The Customer owns its data. We process it only to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.
- Message text sent for a cloud check is processed in memory and not stored by us.
- Customers can delete their account and organization data themselves on the Account page.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. When the cloud check is unavailable, the extension continues with on-device checks or follows the Customer's "fail closed" setting. We may improve or change features and will give notice of changes that materially reduce the Service.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that it will detect all sensitive information, prevent every disclosure, or be error-free, and we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for information that users or the Customer disclose, send or leak, whether or not the Service warned about it (see section 1).
- Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the Customer paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if no fees were paid.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Intellectual property
We own the Service and its software. The Customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during the subscription. We may use feedback to improve the Service.
10. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. You can stop at any time: cancel, then delete your account. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breach, non-payment, or where required by law, with notice where reasonable.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv–Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not remove rights you have under mandatory law, including data-protection law, where you are established.
12. Changes and contact
We will post changes on this page and notify account admins of material changes before they apply. Contact: hello@sottosolutions.com.
